Hydro jetting service cleaning a drain line

Hydro Jetting Services

High-pressure jetting removes grease, scale, and heavy buildup to restore full pipe flow with lasting results.

Fast response for severe clogs, grease backups, and slow drains.

Hydro jetting equipment and hose setup

Deep Clean for Tough Clogs

Hydro jetting uses specialized equipment to scour pipe walls clean. It eliminates heavy buildup that standard snaking leaves behind.

Restores the full inside diameter of the pipe, not just a path
Roots, grease, scale, and sediment all go away in one visit
Gentle on a pipe that’s in good structural shape (we verify first)
Great for preventative maintenance on commercial kitchens
Pairs naturally with camera inspection so you see before and after

When Hydro Jetting Is the Best Solution

Kitchen-grease buildup

Priority

Decades of cooking grease narrows a 4-inch kitchen line to a straw. Jetting scours it back to bare pipe — restaurants especially.

Snaking that keeps failing

Priority

If you’re getting the same clog in the same spot every 6 months, snaking is punching a hole through buildup. Jetting removes the buildup itself.

Root mass in a lateral

Critical

Small roots get chewed up by a jetter nozzle. Heavy root mass needs cutting first, then jetting to flush the debris — then a plan for the pipe.

Scheduled maintenance

Routine

Restaurants, multi-unit buildings, and older homes with known issues benefit from a 6 or 12-month jet schedule. Same plumber every visit.

Our Hydro Jetting Process

Step 1

Camera the line first

We push a camera in before the jetter. If the pipe has collapses or cracks, jet pressure makes it worse — we need to see it first.

Step 2

Size the nozzle to the job

A grease-chisel nozzle for a kitchen branch, a rotating nozzle for scale, a penetrator for root mass. Not one-size-fits-all.

Step 3

Jet, pull, verify

Water pressure up to 4,000 PSI, working back toward the cleanout. Then a second camera pass so you can see what came out.

Step 4

Honest next-steps conversation

If the line has structural issues behind the grease, we’ll tell you. We quote a repair plan in writing before you commit.

Hydro Jetting Works Best For

Pittsburgh-area restaurants

Grease-heavy commercial kitchens benefit from a scheduled jet and interceptor service. We service several restaurants in Canonsburg, Carnegie, and Mt. Lebanon.

Multi-unit rentals

A shared line that backs up is a phone-call nightmare for a landlord. A yearly jet cuts call volume way down.

Pre-1960 housing

Older Pittsburgh cast-iron and galvanized drains build scale on the inside walls. Jetting restores flow that hasn’t been seen since the Nixon administration.

Homes with known root issues

If your lateral eats roots, a jet + foaming root-kill annual service keeps the problem managed while you plan for eventual lining.

Hydro Jetting FAQs

Is hydro-jetting safe for older cast-iron pipes?

When the pipe is structurally sound, yes. We always camera first — if the pipe has holes, collapses, or major cracks, jet pressure will make them worse. We’d tell you not to jet it and walk through what to do instead.

How long do jet results last?

Much longer than snaking. In residential lines with no structural issues, we regularly see 2-5 years between jets. In grease-heavy commercial kitchens, 6 months to a year is more typical — and that’s why a maintenance schedule makes sense.

Do I need to be home?

Someone needs to let us in and point to the cleanout or the problem fixture. Beyond that, we work outside or in the basement and we’re quiet. Most jobs take 90 minutes to 3 hours.
